Privacy Policy

Account information. Your email address, name and username, password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form), and anything you add to your profile: profile photo, bio, website and unit size.

What you post and do. Your picks and bets, comments, likes, rides and fades, who you follow and who follows you, premium write-ups you publish, and bet-slip screenshots you upload. When you import a slip, the image is sent to an AI service to read the bets on it.

Linked sportsbooks. If you choose to link a sportsbook, we use SharpSports to connect it. Once linked, your bet history from that book (bets, odds, stakes and results) is synced to Picksy. We don’t receive or store your sportsbook password. You can unlink a book at any time in your settings.

Payments. Premium subscriptions and payouts to sellers are handled by Stripe. We keep a record of your subscriptions and, for sellers, your Stripe account status, but we never see or store card or bank numbers.

Push notifications. If you allow notifications on the website or in the iOS app, we store a push token for your device (through Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you alerts. You can turn notifications off in your browser or device settings.

Usage and device information. We use Google Analytics 4 on the website and app to understand how Picksy is used: pages viewed, interactions, device and browser type, and approximate location that Google derives from your IP address.

• To run Picksy: create your account, show your picks and record, power the feed, leaderboard, follows, comments and notifications.
• To grade picks and keep records accurate, including bets synced from linked sportsbooks and read from slip screenshots.
• To process premium subscriptions and seller payouts.
• To send you account emails (like password resets) and the notifications you turn on.
• To understand usage, fix problems, prevent abuse and improve the app.

We don’t sell your personal information, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Picksy is a public, social app. Your profile (username, name, photo, bio, website), your picks, your record and stats, comments and follows are public, and pick pages can be viewed by people who aren’t signed in. Premium picks and write-ups are shown only to that seller’s subscribers. Your email address, push tokens and payment details are never shown publicly.

We share information only with service providers that help us run Picksy, and only for that purpose:

• Supabase: database, file storage and sign-in.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Stripe: subscription payments and seller payouts.
• SharpSports: linking sportsbooks and syncing bet history, when you choose to link one.
• Google Firebase: push notifications.
• Google Analytics: usage analytics.
• Resend: sending account emails.
• Anthropic: AI reading of bet-slip screenshots, public tracker posts and podcast transcripts to extract picks.
• The Odds API and ESPN: sports schedules, scores and odds. No personal information is sent to them.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy would continue to apply).

We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings (Delete account). Deleting it removes your account, profile and the personal information tied to it, and it can’t be undone. Some records may stay in backups for a short time, and payment records are kept by Stripe as required by law.

Picksy is about sports betting and is only for people 18 or older (or older where local law requires). We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you think we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our database and trusted providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the effective date above, and tell you in the app or by email if the changes are significant.
